About Quickbooks Online

QuickBooks adopted with the evolving business world, computing technology and world wide web to develop and upgrade its business softwares for small and medium businesses to be more competitive in the market.

It developed import functions from Excel spreadsheets. It also recently developed business softwares that will not only run for Microsoft, but also for Linux and Apple.
It integrated web-based features like remote access, remote payroll assistance and outsourcing, electronic payment, online banking and reconciliation, mapping through Google Maps, marketing options through Google, and enhanced e-mail through Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.
QuickBooks connected with the web and developed a business software called QuickBooks Online Edition (QBOE). It is accessible through Internet Explorer and iPhone application with a monthly subscription fee. Users can regularly upgrade the online business software with patches and third-party add-ons.

Like the revolutionary iPhone and Facebook, QuickBooks invited third-party software developers to design programs and upgrades for their existing business software. These third-party add-ons shall patch other business software gaps and try to custom-fit both the regular QuickBooks business software and online editions to specific business needs like payroll, inventory, distribution, billing and other functions.

One third-party add-on is a CRM application that integrates QuickBooks data with customer data. Tax preparation, management and operation, inventory management, warehousing and sales order management softwares were also developed by third-party developerskBooks. The management and operation software can be integrated with QuickBooks. The software patches reporting and analysis features of QuickBooks like graphing, trending, projections and business performance.

QuickBooks also provides web-based services like Online Payroll and Online Terminal. The former manages processing of timesheets and payroll online without the QuickBook software. The latter provides credit card payments without credit card terminal or processing software. It includes confirmation receipt emails, transaction history and account fund tracks.
